Description
EFA Plus is not only necessary for proper cell function but also provides essential nutrients to the brain, liver and other vital organs. Today many of us do not get enough fat. EFA Plus provides the good Omega 3, 6, 9 and 13 fatty acids in their proper ratios EFA plus is packed in a nitrogen base so no oxygen can penetrate the capsule.
All fatty acids are chains of carbon atoms with oxygen atoms hooked on at one end ( the alpha end), and three hydrogen atoms hooked on at the other end ( the omega end). They differ based on how many carbon atoms are strung together, and where there are double bonds instead of single bonds between the carbon atoms. Omega 3 fatty acids have the first double bond three carbon atoms away from the omega end, and so on for the 9 and 13 as well.
Omega -3 is essential for many bodily functions including immunity, proper circulation, hormone balance, brain function and skin cell production. Omega 3 has been reported to decrease arthritic stiffness. People have reported that it gives them more energy. Omega 3 is found in animal fats such as fish, and some plants.
Omega -6 comes from plant fats. It is also essential for hormone balance, immune function, cellular energy and proper brain function. However, too much Omega six can lead to heart disease and other circulatory system problems
Omega 9 and 13 are quite rare in the human diet and are only found in the hulls and shells of some raw seeds and nuts. Much research has been done in the last ten years proving that these fatty acids can prevent alzheimers disease and even AIDS.
